Bon Voyage, Navigator of the Seas: A New Chapter in Asia

After nearly five years as a fixture in the California cruise market, Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas has officially departed Los Angeles. The vessel, which created countless memories for West Coast travelers with its voyages to the Mexican Riviera and Baja California, is now setting off on a new journey across the Pacific.

The Transpacific Crossing

The repositioning voyage, which left on October 2, 2026, is a 15-night journey to Yokohama, Japan. This route offers more than just a simple ocean crossing, featuring stops at three unique Japanese ports:

Hakodate: Celebrated for its spectacular night vistas and the historic star-shaped Goryōkaku fort.

Muroran: Providing access to the natural splendor of Hokkaido.

Shimizu: Renowned for its stunning perspectives of Mount Fuji.

Onward to Southeast Asia

After arriving in Yokohama on October 18, Navigator of the Seas will embark on an 11-night repositioning cruise to Singapore. Along the way, guests will visit Nagasaki, Jeju Island, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.

The ship is set to reach Singapore on October 29, 2026, marking the start of its Southeast Asian cruise season.

This move introduces Royal Caribbean’s signature attractions—such as The Blaster, the longest waterslide at sea, and the lively Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade—to a fresh audience in one of the world's most dynamic cruising areas.

A Temporary Farewell

West Coast fans of the ship can take comfort in knowing this deployment is only temporary.

Navigator of the Seas is slated to return to Los Angeles in November 2027. Royal Caribbean has already opened bookings for Mexican Riviera sailings for the winter 2027–2028 season, including a seven-night departure on November 26, 2027, with stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta.
