About Legend of the Seas
Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas, the third ship in the Icon Class, is set to debut in August 2026. Following its summer season in the Western Mediterranean, the ship will reposition to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in November 2026, offering year-round 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Southern Caribbean itineraries, including visits to Perfect Day at CocoCay. Measuring 365 meters in length and weighing 250,800 gross tons, Legend of the Seas will be one of the largest cruise ships in the world, with a capacity of up to 7,600 passengers. The ship will feature eight distinct neighborhoods, including Thrill Island with the largest waterpark at sea, Chill Island with multiple pools and swim-up bars, and Surfside, a family-focused area. Other amenities will include the AquaDome for daytime relaxation and nighttime entertainment, the Hideaway with a suspended infinity pool, and a variety of dining options. Accommodations will range from interior cabins to luxurious suites, including the Ultimate Family Townhouse. The ship will be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), aligning with Royal Caribbean's sustainability goals. Bookings for Legend of the Seas will open on February 20, 2025, with Crown & Anchor Society members receiving early access.
