About Icon of the Seas
Icon of the Seas, launched in early 2024, is Royal Caribbean’s newest and most ambitious ship to date, marking the debut of the all-new Icon Class. As the largest cruise ship in the world, Icon carries around 7,600 guests at full capacity and showcases a bold step forward in both design and sustainability, being the first in the fleet powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). Icon introduces eight immersive neighbourhoods, each designed to deliver a completely different atmosphere. Thrill Island features the largest waterpark at sea, Category 6, with six record-breaking slides including the tallest and fastest ever built on a cruise ship. Chill Island offers three sprawling pools, a swim-up bar, and plenty of space to unwind. Families are especially drawn to Surfside, a neighbourhood built just for young families, with a splash park, baby pool, family-friendly dining, and all-day play areas. Another first-at-sea concept is The Hideaway, an elevated beach club experience complete with the first suspended infinity pool at sea, offering unbeatable ocean views. The AquaDome, a glass-enclosed entertainment hub at the front of the ship, transforms from a tranquil daytime lounge into a spectacular venue for aerial and water-based performances in the evening. Dining aboard Icon is more diverse than ever, with over 40 restaurants, cafes, bars, and lounges. From the elegant Empire Supper Club to casual favourites like Surfside Bites and Basecamp, the ship offers something for every taste and travel style. The ship’s entertainment is just as impressive, with full-scale productions in the Royal Theatre, live music throughout the ship, and nightly aqua shows inside the AquaDome. Accommodation ranges from value-friendly interior rooms to breathtaking new options like Infinite Balcony rooms and the three-storey Ultimate Family Townhouse, complete with a slide, cinema space, and private entrance to Surfside. Sailing from Miami, Icon of the Seas offers week-long Caribbean itineraries, with every cruise stopping at Perfect Day at CocoCay. It’s a ship built for families, thrill-seekers, and cruise lovers ready to experience a new era of holidaying at sea.
